Yeti Airline's chair Sonam successfully ascend Mt. Aconcagua the tallest peak Americas

Chairman of Yeti Airline Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa has successfully ascend Mt. Aconcagua (6962m), the tallest peak in South America.

 

Sonam upon conquering the mountain waved the national and Yeti Airline’s Flag at the top as per the Yeti Airline officials.

 

“We are delighted to announce that he (Sonam) successfully climbed the mountain on 24 January 2022 at 11:30AM.” a statement of the Yeti Airlines reads. 

 

They further congratulated Sonam on successfully climbing Six of the Seven highest peaks in each continent. 

 

Sonam’s next target is to climb Mt. Everest as to climb all highest peaks in each continent. 

 

Climbing the summits represents one of the biggest and most popular challenges in mountaineering. 

 

Mt. Aconcagua is a mountain in the Principal Cordillera[3] of the Andes mountain range, in Mendoza Province, Argentina. 

 

It is the highest mountain in the Americas, the highest outside Asia, and the highest in both the Southern and the Western Hemispheres.

It’s summit elevation is 6,961 metres (22,838 ft). 

 

It lies 112 kilometres northwest of the provincial capital, the city of Mendoza, about five kilometres from San Juan Province, and 15 km from Argentina's border with neighbouring Chile. The mountain is one of the so-called Seven Summits of the seven continents.
