Hyundai Nepal organized a cleaning campaign in and around Pachali Bhairab Temple, Teku a site of archeological and religious importance, under its “Be (v) the Change” campaign on 10th September.
More than 50 employees of the company participated in that program.
The team also cleaned and painted the walls of the surrounding area as well as Shree Mahendra Saraswati Sewa Aadharbhut Vidhyalaya, a basic school serving the needs of the community around.
The program was organized in coordination with the management committee of the temple and school administration to address the needs of the community pertaining to the cleanliness of the area.
Hyundai Nepal’s “Be (v) the Change “is an initiative undertaken by the company in solidarity with Hyundai Motor Company’s commitment to a sustainable future.
The term Be (v) corresponds to Battery Electric Vehicles, the new norm for carbon neutrality, and thus Be (v) the change acts as a call for sustainability-focused actions for the adoption of sustainable practices at an individual and community level.
The cleaning campaign was another notable addition to the tree plantation program organized earlier in the month to compensate for the carbon footprint created by fossil fuel vehicles.
Hyundai Nepal is further planning to organize other sustainability-focused activities under the “Be (v) the Change” initiative in days to come.
