The furniture and furnishing fair is taking place at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu on Sept 8-12.
Organized by the Furniture and Furnishing Association with assistance from the Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal, the IDEA Nepal, and the Space Magazine, the expo will be participated by various furniture-producing companies from countries including Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, it has been informed.
Furnishings related to the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, outdoor and interior design, carpet, and marble will be kept on display, said Association President Shuvendra Joshi.
Furniture worth Rs 60 billion was transacted annually in Nepal and of which around 50 percent was imported from foreign countries, he said.
Event Solution Pvt. Ltd. will manage the fair while the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and the Nepal Federation of Furniture and Furnishing Entrepreneurs have promoted it. Entrance fees have been set at Rs 100 per person.
