NRB issuing fresh notes for Dashain from today

In view of the upcoming Dashain Tihar and Chhat festival, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has started issuing fresh banknotes from today.

Common people can exchange new notes worth Rs 18,500 per person. They will get one bundle of new notes ranging from five rupees to one hundred rupees.

Banks and financial institutions will get new notes worth Rs 20 to 50 million from NRB.

People can exchange fresh notes from NRB central office and provincial offices.

Likewise, other banks, as well as financial institutions, will also distribute fresh notes from today.
