Sandeep wants to play in the big leagues of Europe

Belgium is considered as the center of attraction for football. There is never a shortage of football-playing teams. In that crowd, Sandeep Thanet of Nepali origin has earned fame at a very young age.

Sandeep is just 7 years old. He was born in Belgium. He came to Nepal on a month's vacation and he has a dream of playing in the big leagues of Europe as a child. "I want to be a great footballer and play in the Champions League," Sandeep responded in English. His parents have also said that they will try their best to fulfill Sadeep's wishes.

Sandeep's mother Srijana Thanet says that Sandeep has a special addiction to football. She said that Sandeep was more attracted to football because of the atmosphere around where he lives in Belgium. "Whether it's the World Cup or any league in Europe, there's always a football atmosphere in Belgium.

Sandeep's father Pradeep Thanet enrolled Sandeep in a nearby academy at the age of five seeing his son's love for football. After a year of training, Sandeep played in various age group tournaments. He performed very well there.

Sandeep is now a member of the Royal Anthropone football team. In the recently concluded age group league, he performed well and won the trophy. "Nothing can be greater happiness for us. We are ready to invest maximum for our son's football career", Sandeep's father said.

Pradeep Thanet of Agyouli, Kawasoti-14, Nawalparasi, entered Europe in 2002. After going to Europe on a tourist visa, he became a refugee and has now become a "green card holder" of Belgium. He has been doing restaurant business there.

Pradeep has also opened a trust in Nawalparasi in the name of his son. The trust has been providing scholarships to poor and needy students. The trust has been providing an annual scholarship of worth 120,000 in Saraswati Higher Secondary School, Navalparasi. Sandeep has been honored by various social organizations in recognition of his talent shown at a young age.

Chairman of Tharu Commission Bishnu Prasad Chaudhary honored Sandeep at a ceremony held in Kathmandu. The organizer said that Sandeep was honored to provide more energy in the program organized by Tharuwan Media Network. Similarly, he has been honored by the Kawasoti Municipality-14 office of Nawalparasi, Nawalpur District Football Association, Referee Association, and others.
