District Judge dismissed

The Judicial Council has decided to dismiss District Judge Shyamsundar Adhikari from his post. The meeting of the Judicial Council on Tuesday decided to dismiss the Adhikari, working in Banke district.

According to the spokesperson of the Judicial Council, Man Bahadur Karki, he was dismissed on the basis of the investigation committee's report that there has been no improvement in his work efficiency and judicial conduct, and that judgments and orders he made have been subject to judicial deviation.

Earlier, the council meeting had given a warning to Adhikari to make improvements, citing financial manipulation in the case, bad conduct and lack of proper work performance.

Judge Adhikari was recalled to the Supreme Court  after the judicial deviation was noticed. Earlier, the council had dismissed High Court judge Renuka Shah as she failed to meet the prerequisites to become a judge.
