Police personnel returned from Rana's residence

Police personnel deputed outside the official residence of suspended Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana have returned.

The home ministry has withdrawn police personnel from outside of the residence of suspended Chief Justice Rana.

The ministry had sent police personnel after Rana notified the Supreme Court that he was returning to the office, concluding that the impeachment motion has become inactive after the term of the House of Representatives ended Saturday night.

It is said that that the police personnel were deployed under the direction of the Prime Minister's Office.
